CANCELLATION/SICK POLICY: A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 48 hours notice will be charged 50% of their appointment fee, and less than 24hrs notice the full appointment fee. If you are sick, we require 4hrs notice before your appointment. Please keep everyone healthy and do not come to your appointment if you have any symptoms of a cold or flu.

PARKING: Street parking only, along Wallace St or adjacent/parallel streets. Parking is free for 2hrs. Please do not park in designated spots in the parking lot.

Active rehab and strengthening for anyone! Please book under pelvic floor kinesiology for anyone currently pregnant, post partum, post surgical (hysterectomy, endometroisis, prolapse repair), or experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction.

Maggie graduated from UBC with a degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. She worked for a year as a clinical kinesiologist before heading to Glasgow, Scotland to complete her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. She played varsity volleyball for one year during her schooling in the UK. Maggie has a special interest in treating female athletes and pelvic floor conditions, especially the peri natal and post partum community. In her spare time, Maggie likes to run, mountain bike, hike big mountains, play beach volleyball, and explore new trails with her Bernese mountain dog, Kai, who is also a clinical dog therapist.

Shauna is a pediatric and pelvic health physiotherapist passionate about supporting clients across the lifespan. She began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience before completing her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia.

Shauna supports clients of all ages, stages and gender presentations. In her virtual practice here at Northwood, Shauna focuses primarily on pediatric, male (AMAB), and trans care. Her approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and focuses on helping each individual feel safe, empowered, and confident in their body. Shauna integrates relaxation, breath, and movement strategies with strength training to create care plans that fit real life.

Kendra graduated from UBC’s Northern and Rural Masters of Physical Therapy program, where she gained experience in various communities and health care settings across BC. She enjoys empowering individuals to return to meaningful activities, helping them experience “aha movement-moments” through teaching and coaching. She utilizes the power of exercise, manual therapy, and knowledge sharing to optimize her patients’ strength, mobility and sense of self-efficacy.

As a retired professional and USport volleyball player and coach, Kendra has always loved exploring movement. Her multi-sport background, and various injuries have given her a strong understanding of the complex demands that all activities place on the body. She has a special interest in treating pelvic floor conditions, and wants to make you feel safe and comfortable when addressing these sensitive topics. Liz is thrilled to be joining the team at Northwood.

She is a compassionate RMT who believes movement is a key aspect of maintaining good health. She likes to incorporate stretches into her massage and she will work with you to determine an effective treatment plan.

Liz likes to get to the bottom of what is causing the issue, acknowledging your own interests and needs to build a treatment plan from there.

She graduated from WCCMT Victoria in 2017 and likes to use a combination of techniques including myofascial release, active stretching, and relaxation while encouraging breaths throughout.

Hanna Harrison graduated from Camosun College with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in June 2023. Being a new grad she is excited to gain experience in this field of work, and has a lot of interest in chronic disease management & exercise rehabilitation. Over the last few months she has been working as Physical Therapy Assistant, helping and supporting clients through the rehabilitation process. She is currently in the process of obtaining her exercise physiologist certification (CSEP-CEP).

Hanna is new to the world of pelvic health and very interested in gaining more experience and knowledge in this line of work. In school she focused many of her assignments on exercise rehabilitation for pre & post partum women as she found it a very interesting field of study.

Personal info: Vancouver Island born and raised, Hanna has grown up in both Victoria and the Cowichan Valley. She plans to build up her career here on the island and will always call this place home. Janice is a graduate of the Master’s of Physical Therapy program at UBC, and prior to that completed a Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Kinesiology. Janice has completed post-graduate courses in Manual Therapy, IMS/ dry needling, and clinical Pilates. She has pursued further training in Pelvic Floor rehabilitation, which allows her to treat conditions such as incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain in females. Vestibular rehabilitation is also a strong area of interest for Janice, with experience in treating BPPV, vertigo/dizziness, concussion, and balance deficits.

Janice’s interest in Physiotherapy stemmed from her own experience of sport injuries and rehab throughout her life, as well as a strong desire to empower individuals to move better, feel better, and live better. She integrates the principles of Pilates into physiotherapy to guide her clients in bringing more awareness to muscle activation and control during movement. Her individualized treatments include a mixture of manual therapy, dry needling, patient education, and exercise prescription.

Michaela recently graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC.

During her time in the clinical internship program at WCCMT, Michaela developed strong hands-on skills in Swedish massage, myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and sports massage. She has experience supporting clients with a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, stress, and musculoskeletal injuries.

Michaela’s treatment style is thoughtful and calming, blending deep tissue and relaxation techniques to support comfort, mind-body awareness, and the healing process.

Prior to her massage therapy training, Michaela worked in veterinary care and pet services, where she developed a deep sense of compassion and a calm, confident presence—qualities that now enhance her massage practice.
